A screening is a brief, initial assessment process used to quickly gather information about a child's potential needs and determine whether further evaluation or intervention is necessary. At Blossom, we offer free screenings for children in the Southern Ocean County area. Please fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page to submit an initial screening request
A comprehensive process aimed at gathering detailed information about a child's strengths, challenges, and individual needs related to their functional abilities and participation in daily activities
We offer evaluations to gather further information about your child's individualized needs, customize a client-centered treatment plan, and collaborate to create unique goals for your child
We work closely with your family to provide individualized treatment plans that will keep your child engaged, fit within your family routines, and promote carry-over of skills to enhance your child's independence throughout all areas of their life
Through sensory integration therapy, we aim to help children develop better body awareness, coordination, attention, self-regulation, and social interaction skills. By addressing sensory processing difficulties, we can support children in achieving their developmental milestones and engaging more fully in school, play, and other daily activities.
As a pediatric occupational therapist, I focus on helping children develop these essential skills to support their academic and social success. Some key school readiness skills include: fine motor, self-regulation, gross motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, executive functioning, and social skills.
We focus on play-based interventions to build life skills, teach turn-taking, problem-solving, and motor skills. Engaging in play is essential for children's development and well-being. We help children develop the skills needed to participate in play activities independently.
By addressing emotional regulation skills in therapy, we aim to empower children to better understand and manage their emotions, develop resilience in the face of challenges, and build healthy relationships with others.
We use a combination of hands-on activities, modeling, environmental modifications, adaptive equipment, and behavioral strategies to support children in achieving their goals related to ADLs.
Our main objective is to deliver care centered around families, ensuring that interventions are seamlessly integrated into their daily routines, promoting continuity, success, and independence
My name is Alissa LeVance and I am the proud owner of Blossom Pediatrics! I graduated from Stockton University with my Bachelor's degree in Health Science before beginning Stockton's Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program. I am a board-certified and NJ state-licensed occupational therapist. Throughout my education, I have always known that pediatrics was the perfect fit for me. Opening my own business has always been a dream of mine, but my true dream is to make a valuable difference in children's lives. I have a genuine passion for working with children and helping them overcome any challenges they may be facing.

I grew up in Barnegat and lived there for 25 years before moving to Galloway. I am the youngest of 4 siblings. I have 3 nephews and 1 niece - they call me Lala. I have 2 pups - a black lab and a minature golden doodle. In my free time, you'll find me with my family, on the boat, or in the garden!
